St. Xavier School

St. Xavier English medium school is a outreach tool of our friends in Bihar.

This school currently has over 300 students who are receiving almost free education in English--this is HIGHLY valued and sought after in Bihar.

St. Xavier is being lead by C. Jesudasan and has a staff of great teachers and helpers. It is through teaching and giving children the necessary life skills that our friends are working and sharing about Jesus Christ. One of the three main focuses of Jesus; life and ministry was teaching, so St. Xavier seeks to follow in His steps by giving a high quality education to children in Bihar. This school is a great blessing to the people of Bihar yet any private education can seem out of reach for many families.

To give you a sense of the cost, it is around 4-5 dollars a month to give a child an education, but this may be a quarter or half of the families income for the month. The staff work very sacrificially as the teachers (who are mostly from South India) make about 45-85 dollars a month! Currently St. Xavier is offering sibling discounts and provides 30 Christian children completely free education.

Servant "Sundar" Sundar is our friend and leads a team of ten other servants who given their lives for the outreach of the Gospel of the Kingdom in Bihar. They are willing to lay down their lives so that the people of Bihar will love, worship, and glorify Jesus Christ. Sundar has an amazing testimony of how God healed him and then called him into this ministry. Although the context of Bihar is very dangerous and rough, Sundar serves with joy and apprecation. Please continuously keep Sundar and the others servants in your prayers.

How Can I Partner In Helping Bihar? If you would like to partner with our friends in Bihar there are a few ways to serve. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY--for safety, provision, new people to glorify Jesus and many other things--again email us for more info. Support St. Xavier in many different ways. If you would like to give for an eternal cause then St. Xavier would like to share with you their needs: A computer...this needs to be bought in India because of the different type of electrical current used (220) Books...do you have english school books that would be appropriate for elementary age children School supplies...any thing in this area would be a blessing A van for transportation for many of the school children...there are no school buses in this part of Bihar (like most parts of India) An old Jeep for ministry needs A film projector and generator to show films for outreach to those who cannot read For financial provision to buy the land on which the St. Xavier school is located For extra ground to add a play ground, library, and lab for the students For a church building on a few pieces of ground which have been recently purchased.
